Early Voting For The Nov. 6th Constitutional Amendment Election Starts Today – UPDATED
For a list of locations, times, and dates go to the Early Voting page on at Williamson County’s web site.
There are many guides EOW has come across or been alerted to which are listed below:
- The Texas Legislative Council has two guides a condensed version (16 pages) [.DOC] and a full version (131 pages) in [.PDF].
- Here’s the League of Women Voters of Texas, November 2007 Constitutional Amendment Voter Guide [.PDF].
- State Rep. Scott Hochberg also has a easy to navigate page with quick info on all 16 amendments.
- For a Libertarian perspective check out Liberty Yes, Anarchy No.
- [UPDATE]: McBlogger’s analysis is definitely worth a look as well.
While what we really need is a new constitution this, unfortunately, is the system we have. While as I grow older the more inclined I am to vote against these amendments, there are several worthy of support. No matter which side you’re on EOW encourages everyone to get informed, using the links above or any other resource you can find – please feel free to post suggestions in the comments. But the main thing is to exercise your right to vote and be counted.

It’s seems soooo risky to vote in favor of even good-sounding amendments; as I recall, that’s how we got the Trans-Texas Corridor. Well, along with some smoke and mirrors from guvner good-hair.
