Your Local City On Air America Radio
Michael Hofmann and his wife Tanya have begun hosting a radio show on Air America Radio on Sunday mornings at 10:30 – 11:00 am, Your Local City Radio Show. Michael and Tanya are Williamson County residents and Michael Hofmann is running for Williamson County Commissioner, Precinct 2. The show is a mixture of inteviews with local business owners and politics, current office-holders and candidates.
Two weeks ago they had Mary Beth Harrell on the show. In case you don’t already know she is running for US Congress District 31 against John Carter. You can listen to it here (Mary Beth’s interview starts about 14 minutes in) or read the transcript here. It’s a great interview. Mary Beth discusses the recent meeting between her opponent and her son in Iraq. How the Republicans have been using “fear-based” and “mean-spirited” wedge issues to get people to vote for them. She talks about their latest attempt at this by using illegal immigration. If you’ve never met Mary Beth or listened to her speak this is a great introduction.
