Judge dismisses drunken driving charges against Krusee.
State Rep. Mike Krusee has been cleared of a misdemeanor drunken driving charge from April. Visiting Judge Chuck Miller announced that the case had been dismissed this morning.
According to a written statement by Williamson County Attorney Jana Duty, “After reviewing all of the evidence in the case it was determined that the officer did have probable cause to arrest, due to his observations on the scene, however the evidence is insufficient to sustain a conviction by jury.”
Just another case of the partisan “justice” that’s meted out in Williamson County. IOKIYAR.
[UPDATE]: Vince has a more sobering reasoned take on the dismissal. The part that’s always been ironic about this story is there’s a DA in Williamson County getting sheriff’s to take people’s blood if they refuse to blow, and soon-to-be-former Rep. Krusee (R-Didn’t Blow), used the exception of refusing to give a sample to game the system, and get off. Or as Grits put it much better, Breathalyzers for thee but not for me.
If the folks writing the laws, and enforcing them, won’t take these tests, how with a straight face can they penalize others for making the same decision?
Ironic.

What gets me, is Krusee never showed up at any of his court hearings. Like he was thumbing his nose up at it. That’s just WRONG!
