There were many valid argument in this article for why a sales price disclosure could be a bad idea. The argument was thin to begin with. Because as the author was arguing that appraisers should take many different items into account when determining the value of a property he was also arguing that one key factor, the sales price, should not be able to be taken into account. It was more than a little disingenuous but then he had to bring Al Qaeda into it.

This bill is also potentially dangerous in this age of of terrorism and identity theft. Even the individual investors who make $1 million or less on a property sale can become targets.

Blaming the terrorists is so 2004.
