Via the AAS, Democratic Party’s campaign office in Round Rock gets made permanent.

Bolstered by improved showings in the November elections, the county’s Democratic Party will keep its Round Rock office open permanently.

The office, at 110 N. Interstate 35, was opened for the 2008 campaign and will be used to focus on the 2010 campaign, said Braden Frame, former campaign manager for county attorney candidate Jaime Lynn.

This is the first time the party has opened a permanent office in the county, said county Democratic Party Chairman Richard Torres.

In the November elections, Democrat Diana Maldonado beat Republican Bryan Daniel in the House District 52 race, and Democrat Mike Grimes lost the county commissioner’s race for Precinct 1 by about 300 votes.

“We want to keep the motivation going from the success we had this past election and getting ready for the 2010 elections,” Torres said.

The office is expected to begin selling Barack Obama memorabilia this week, Torres said.

There’s also a Moving Wilco Forward fundraiser on for coming up on December 13th, Join State Representative-elect Diana Maldonado for an event supporting the Williamson County Democratic Party.
